Catherine Moran Franklin Springs Catherine Moran, 86, of Furnace St., Took the Hand of an Angel and left this world, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Franklin Springs on September 5, 1922, daughter of Carl and Julia Sweeney Moran. She attended Clinton Central Schools. She worked at General Electric in the Molding room, for over 20 yrs. She Then went to work at C&H Plastics, in Waterville until retirement .She had a strong Faith in the Lord. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and also attended mass at St. Joseph's Church in Oriskany Falls with her family. Catherine was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. Who will be sadly missed & held in our hearts FOREVER. WE LOVE YOU MOM! She is survived by two sons, Sal Moran of Franklin Springs and Robert and Carol Moran of Yorkville; her daughter, who was also her friend, Julie and her husband Mark Larson of Oriskany Falls; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother Leslie J. Moran and Marilyn of Tucson, AZ; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bill Jones of Bel Air, MD; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a Son, Baby- Lester J. Moran and also her brother, George W. Moran. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, May 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Church, Marvin St., Clinton. Friends are invited to memorial calling hours Thursday from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY. The familywould like to thank Linda Keever and the staff of the Gordon and Mapleview units at the Lutheran Home for their care and compassion.
