Obituary of Frank Barrick Harris III

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Frank Barrick Harris III, 66, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2023.

Frank was born in Utica on February 14, 1957, a son of Frank B. and Elizabeth (Griffith) Harris II.  Frank was married to Joanne Loveland and they lived in Daytona Beach, FL for many years, making many friends and memories before returning to Clinton to raise their family. Frank began his career as a truck driver at Canada Dry 7-UP in Florida and recently retired from ABC MCI.

Frank loved being surrounded by friends, family, good food and great music. He was a gifted guitarist and song-writer who loved to entertain or just play quietly to soothe his soul. His sons were his pride and joy with many memories of fishing, camping and sports.

He is survived by his mother Elizabeth “Betty” Harris of Clinton; his two sons, Frank B. and Meghan Harris IV of Massachusetts and Cory Harris and girlfriend Sarah Wenzl of Colorado; two grandchildren, Keira and Collin Harris; brother David Harris; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who were like family.  He was predeceased by his father Frank B. Harris II and his sister Deborah Burkhart.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Helmuth-Ingalls American Legion Post #232 in Franklin Springs.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Frank’s memory to CNY Diabetes Education Program.
