Obituary of Mary G Lloyd

Mary G. Lloyd, passed away December 6, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Ella Raefel Goodson. On September 17, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Robert S. Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd died September 12, 2003. Mary retired from New York State Electric and Gas in 1986. She lived in Deansboro her whole life until moving to Waterville in 2002. Mary leaves her sons Roderick (Martha) Lloyd of Deansboro and Robert Dale (Bambi) Lloyd of Millersburg, Ohio; her brother Harry Goodson of Deansboro; and a sister-in-law Eleanor Dawes of Clinton. She was predeceased by her sisters and their spouses, Louise Steinmann, Lois Cole and Ruth Kuchler. Mary also leaves her grandchildren, Timothy Lloyd, Sandra Lloyd, Dusty Miller, Nick Kampf, and Lisa and Vernon Olin; and five great-grandchildren; and her special friend Bob Edwards. Mary kept in touch with her nieces and greatly appreciated the time and help she received from her niece Cyndi Gall and the friendship they shared. She also enjoyed the visits from her niece Kay Eichler of Wellsville. Mary also kept in touch with her nephew Jim Steinmann and his wife Loretta, who each year drove from Florida to spend time with her. A special thank you to Dr. Talarico, Pat Roseti, RN, ANP and the girls in the office for their kindness and help when Mary needed them. All are invited to a memorial service at 11am Saturday, December 10, 2106 at Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ, with Rev. Ed Townsend as minister. There will be no public calling hours. A private burial will be held at Deansboro Cemetery. Anyone so desiring may make a donation to the Deansboro Congregational United Church of Christ in Mary's memory.
