Obituary of Clifford E Bielby

Clifford Emerson Bielby passed away peacefully on October 5, 2016 at the Presbyterian Home. Cliff was born on January 13, 1926 to Helen & James, he was the youngest of 13 children. He attended Oriskany School and at 17 he entered the US Marine Corps and served his country in WWII in the South Pacific. On June 19, 1948 he married Mary Louise Frost, a marriage that lasted 58 years until her passing in 2006. Cliff was a proud IBEW Electrician. He was also a member of the Oneida County Sheriff's Posse for many years. He enjoyed his horses and travelling in his RV, taking trips to Alaska, Texas, the South West and spending his winters in Florida. In 2014 Cliff married Joann Draudt. A marriage that brought him much happiness and a caring and loving large family. Surviving are Joann Draudt, his wife; daughters Phyllis Lopata, Debbie & Ed Vanderlan; grandchildren, Hilary Lopata & Bill Siddon, Heath Lopata, Jessica Vanderlan & JR Brubaker, Lisa & Breytt Coakley & Todd Vanderlan; and great grandchildren Andrej Nawoj, Olivia & Laney Coakley, Leah, Ellis & Brock Vanderlan; and a sister Eleanor Freeman. Cliff also leaves many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who welcomed him into their family upon his marriage to Joann. Cliff was predeceased by his wife Mary and son-in-law Henry Lopata. All are invited to call Monday, October, 10, 2016 from 4-7pm at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Paris Hill.
