Obituary of Eleanor A. Zajac

Eleanor A. Zajac, 82, of Utica Rd., Clinton, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital. Eleanor was born in East Stone Arabia, NY on March 4, 1934, to the late Rev. Clarence and Evelyn (Scott) Lembke. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In Utica, on May 30, 1958, Eleanor married Stanley V. Zajac. The couple resided in Utica for 23 years before moving to Clinton. They shared over 40 years of marriage until Stanley's passing on March 13, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Eleanor Zajac of Clinton, Stephen Zajac, of Clinton, Victoria and Michael Jacobs, III, of Deansboro, and James and Michele Zajac of Yorkville; 3 grandchildren, Chadia Jacobs, Johnathon Zajac and Kaitlyn Zajac; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Gary White of Richland; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 3:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery, Phelps St., Lyons, NY. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carolyn Cesari for her care and concern and to Dr. Emile Wassel for going above and beyond when caring for Eleanor.
