Frances G. Nash, 100, of Oriskany, NY passed away on March 23, 2016. She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband of 52 years, Harvey B. Nash. Frances was born in Canaan, CT on May 6, 1915 to Ethel Baldwin Green and David M. Green. She was a 1932 graduate of Oneida High School and of Central City Business School, Syracuse in 1933. She was employed as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aide at Utica State Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1977. In addition to raising her own five children, she was a foster mother to 14 children. She also served as a 4-H leader for 11 years. She was a member of the Westmoreland Chapter #471 of Eastern Star, Westmoreland Senior Citizens, Westmoreland Grange and Hecla Union Church. Frances is survived by her five children and their spouses, Barbara MacRitchie (David), Janice Nash, Norman Nash (Robin), Sharman Kleinhenn (Charles) and Valerie Sierak (Tom); nine grandchildren, Joel and James MacRitchie, Carl and Daniel Kleinhenn, Jason and Jeremy Nash, Justin Fraser, Jessica and Jennifer Sierak; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Duncan, Logan, Carly, Cameron and Catherine MacRitchie, Julia, J.J., Jacob, and Joseph Nash, Sarah, Jessica, Benjamin Fraser; one cousin and many nieces and nephews; she was predeceased by three brothers, David, Donald and Louis Green and two sisters, Helen Osman and Mildred Mansir. Burial services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY. Memorial donations in Frances' name may be made to Eastern Star Campus, PO Box 959, Oriskany, NY 13424.
