Obituary of Michael F. Brown

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael F. Brown, 54, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, May 9, 2008, at Oneida Healthcare Center. Mike was born in Oneida, NY on March 10, 1954, son of Phyllis (Mahady) Brown and the late Russell Brown. On November 16, 1974, Michael was joined in marriage to Rebecca Perkins. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Todd S. Perkins and his wife Corenna of Oneida, Joni M. Ingerham and her husband Dale of Herkimer and Branden M. Brown of Vernon. He spent 16 years with the greatest grandkids one could ever ask for; Cody, Skylar and Lakyn Perkins, Jarrett and Colby Ingerham. Mike was also survived by a stepfather, Buck Gokey and brothers, James, Russell (Toby) and Merwin (Murph) and sisters Diane Carter, Donna McCarthy and Dawn Held. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including one special niece Stefany McCarthy. There will be a celebration of life memorial service, Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 1pm at the Plymouth Alliance Church in Sherrill, NY. Organ donation can save many lives through just one donor. Despite the courageous efforts of both Mike and others, complications prevented him from being a donor in the end. We encourage you to seriously think of helping others, though a tragedy at the time, it may bless many other families. We would like to thank Dr. Richardson and the entire ICU staff and respiratory therapists at Oneida Healthcare for restoring our admiration in their compassion and professionalism.
